Overview

When you delete customers, assemblies, tests, service locations, and invoices in Syncta, these records are only soft-deleted. This means that you can restore a record or reference it any time. There are two ways to locate a deleted record: using Search or on a Customer page. Click on the desired link to take you to the application section below:

NOTE: See our articles about deleting a test report and deleting an assembly to learn more.

Locate Deleted Records Using Search

1. To search for deleted records, use Search at the top of any page as you normally would.

Syncta defaults all search results to not include deleted records initially.

NOTE: The Test Yearly filter will only appear for testing companies.

2. Select Only Deleted from the Include Deleted Records dropdown list.
3. Click Refresh, and your soft-deleted records will be shown in the results.

4. Click the blue link for the record you want to view.

5. At the top of the applicable page, click Restore to restore this record. The following example shows a deleted customer on their Customer page. This will be similar for deleted service locations, assemblies, invoices, etc.

6. Click OK in the popup window to continue.

A confirmation message appears at the top of the page that this record was restored.

Locate Deleted Records On a Customer Page

1. Open the Customer page related to the record that you want to view.

2. Scroll until you find the section related to record you want to delete; if the section is collapsed, click the arrow on the right to expand it.

3. Click the Show Deleted button to view the deleted records. The following example shows this button in the Assemblies section. This will be similar for deleted service locations, invoices, etc.

4. On the Deleted page, click Restore next to the deleted record you want to restore.

A confirmation message appears at the top of the page that this record was restored.
