You can create a new quote from a Customer page, or you can create one based on one or more backflow assembly. Use the following instructions to create a quote based on one or more assembly.

Notes:

  • This feature is only available for testing companies. 

Create a Quote Based on One Assembly

1. On the Customer page, scroll to the service location with the assembly for which you want to add to a quote. 

2. Click the Add to Quote icon for the assembly to which you want to add to a quote.

3. On the Quote Tests page, review the price; select an option from the Price dropdown list to change it.

Note: Listed options are set up as standard invoice items. Click here for more information.

4. Click Add to Quote.
The quote is created, and the Edit Quote page opens.

5. On the Edit Quote page, review the quote and do one of the following:

  • If there are no changes, exit this page and continue your other work in Syncta. 
  • Update the quote as needed, reorder the invoice line items as desired, and then click Update Quote at the bottom of the page.

You can now view this quote on the Quotes and Work Orders page or in the Quotes section of a Customer page.

Create a Quote Based on Several Assemblies

1. On the Customer page, scroll to the service location with the backflow assemblies at which you want to add to a quote. 

2. Select each assembly to which you want to add to a quote.

3. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Quote Selected Devices.

4. On the Quote Tests page, review the price of each test; select an option from the Price dropdown list to change it.

5. Click Add to Quote.
The quote is created, and the Edit Quote page opens.

6. On the Edit Quote page, review the quote and do one of the following:

  • If there are no changes, exit this page and continue your other work in Syncta. 
  • Update the quote as needed, reorder the invoice line items as desired, and then click Update Quote at the bottom of the page.

Notes:

  • The order of the line items here will be the same order that appears on the PDF.
  • If line items have the same description and price, they will be combined on the PDF only if you move these items next to each other on this page.

You can now view this quote on the Quotes and Work Orders page or in the Quotes section of a Customer page.
