Marking an Assembly as Inactive or Removed

How to change the status of an assembly from active to inactive or removed

Overview

If an assembly has been removed from a service location or is no longer active, you can mark it as removed or inactive; this means the assembly will no longer appears in Upcoming Tests. There are two ways that you can mark an assembly inactive or removed: using Search or on a Customer page. Click the desired link to go to the applicable section below:


Use Search to Mark an Assembly Inactive or Removed

1. Click in the Search area at the top of any page in Syncta.

2. Do one of the following:

  • If you know serial number of the assembly you're looking for, enter that information in the Search area and press [Enter].

  • If you do not know the serial number of the assembly you're looking for, select Assemblies from the Results Type dropdown list to search for all assemblies; click Refresh to see your results.

3. Click the blue link for the assembly you want to mark inactive or removed.

4. Click Edit at the top of the Assembly page.

5. On the Edit Assembly page, select Inactive or Removed from the Status dropdown list.

6. Click Update Assembly at the top or bottom of the page to save your changes.


Mark an Assembly as Inactive or Removed on a Customer Page

1. Open the Customer page related to the assembly that you want to mark as inactive or removed.

2. Scroll to the Assemblies section under the blue Service Location address related to the assembly you want to mark.

3. Click the Edit Assembly icon.

4. On the Edit Assembly page, select Inactive or Removed from the Status dropdown list.

5. Click Update Assembly at the top or bottom of the page to save your changes.
