Uploading Attachments

How to upload images, photos or documents

Overview

There are several different places in Syncta that you can upload attachments. Click on the applicable link to go to the desired section below:


Upload Attachments on a Customer Page

1. Open the Customer page on which you want to upload an attachment.

2. Scroll to the bottom of the page to the Attachments section.

3. Drag and drop the image or document that you want to upload; you can also click in the box to select the file you want to upload. Repeat this step for each attachment that you want to upload.


Upload Attachments on a Service Location Page

1. Open the Customer page related to the service location for which you want to add an attachment.

2. Scroll to the desired Service Location section, and then click Show.

3. Scroll to the bottom of this Service Location page to the Attachments section.

4. Drag and drop the image or document that you want to upload; you can also click in the box to select the file you want to upload. Repeat this step for each attachment that you want to upload.


Upload Attachments on an Assembly Page

1. Open the Assembly page on which you want to upload an attachment.

2. Scroll to the bottom of the page to the Attachments section.

3. Drag and drop the image or document that you want to upload; you can also click in the box to select the file you want to upload. Repeat this step for each attachment that you want to upload.


Upload Attachments on the Perform Test Page

1. On a Perform Test page, scroll to the bottom of the page to the Attachments section.

2. Drag and drop the image or document that you want to upload; you can also click in the box to select the file you want to upload. Repeat this step for each attachment that you want to upload.

3. Continue entering your test results as usual, and click Save Test or Complete Test when you're finished.


Upload Attachments to an Invoice Page

1. Open the invoice page to which you want to add an attachment. The following example shows an Edit Invoice page.

2. Scroll to the bottom of the page to the Attachments section.

3. Drag and drop the image or document that you want to upload; you can also click in the box to select the file you want to upload. Repeat this step for each attachment that you want to upload.

4. Make other updates to this page as needed, and click the appropriate button related to this invoice.

NOTE: This process is the same for Quotes and Work Orders.


Upload Attachments to a Notifications Page

You can upload an attachment to a Notifications page when you create a new notification batch, or you can add an attachment to an existing notification batch. These instructions cover how to upload an attachment to an existing notification batch. See our articles about creating a new email notification batch or creating a new paper notification batch to learn more.

1. Select Notifications from the navigation menu.

2. In the Pending Notifications section, click Edit next to the notification batch you want to open.

3. In the Attachments section at the bottom of the page, drag and drop the image or document that you want to upload; you can also click in the box to select the file you want to upload. Repeat this step for each attachment that you want to upload.

4. Click Next above the Attachments section, and then complete the last steps of this notification batch as usual.


Upload Attachments to a Surveys Page

1. Open the Surveys page on which you want to upload an attachment.

2. Scroll to the bottom of the page to the Attachments section.

3. Drag and drop the image or document that you want to upload; you can also click in the box to select the file you want to upload. Repeat this step for each attachment that you want to upload.

4. Make other updates to this page as needed, and then click one of the following buttons:

  • Save Survey: Save the survey so it can be completed later. A created survey message appears on the Customer page and this survey now appears on the Review Surveys page.

  • Complete Survey: Complete the survey. A completed survey message appears on the Customer page and this survey now appears in the Surveys section of the related service location.
