Overview

The following instructions explain how to delete a test that has not yet been invoiced. There are a couple of different places to do this: from a Customer page or from the Search results page. This article shows you how to delete a test from a Customer page. If you are a water purveyor, you can also delete received external tests. See Delete an External Test below to learn more.

NOTE: When you delete a test, Syncta only soft deletes this record. This means that you can restore a test at any time. See our article about restoring a deleted test to learn more.

Delete a Test

1. On a Customer page, scroll down to the Tests section.
2. Find the test you want to delete in one of the following Tests sections:

  • Scheduled

  • In Progress

  • Pending Review

  • Completed

  • Previous Years

NOTE: Purveyors will also see the Pending External Tests and Received External Tests sections. See Delete an External Test below to learn more.

3. Click the trash can icon next to the test you want to delete.

NOTES:

  • If you delete a test in the Scheduled or In Progress section, it will simply be deleted.

  • If you delete a test from the Completed or Previous Years sections, you will also delete any related invoice line items in the test and this test will no longer appear in any reports that you run. For example, the Completed tests by tester in last 90 days report.

4. When the popup appears, click OK to continue.

If the test was successfully deleted, a confirmation message appears at the top of the Customer page.

Delete an External Test (Purveyors)

1. In the Tests section of the Customer page, find the test you want to delete in the Received External Tests section.

NOTE: Tests in the Pending External Tests section cannot be deleted because they have not been performed yet.

2. Click the Details button.

3. On the Received Test Information page, scroll to the Assembly Info section, and then click the Show Assembly icon.

4. On the Assembly Overview page, scroll to the Assembly Tests section.

5. Click the trash can icon next to the test you want to delete.

6. When the popup appears, click OK to continue.

If the test was successfully deleted, a confirmation message appears at the top of the Assembly Overview page.
