Perform a Test With Xpress Test
This article shows you how to perform a test for a new or existing customer using Xpress Test, as well as how to add or edit a related customer, service location and assembly.
1. Click Xpress Test on the Dashboard.
2. If you have a test in progress, a popup will appear. You can select the customer name to continue with the test, remove it from the queue, or start a new one.
NOTE: If you selected an item in step 2, go to the applicable section below to continue.
3. In the first section of Xpress Test, do one of the following:
Customer: Select this radio button to search by Customer name. Select an existing customer by clicking their name in the list or by entering part of their name in the Search box.
Serial: Select this radio button to search by an assembly's serial. Enter the serial number in the Search box.
4. Do one of the following:
If you selected an existing customer and want to update their record, click Edit. Make updates as needed and then save your changes. Go to step 5.
If you are adding a new customer, fill in the applicable fields, and then click Create Customer. Go to step 5.
If you searched by assembly serial number, select the assembly in the Results to continue. Go to step 10.
5. Click Continue to go to the Service Location section.
6. Do one of the following:
Select an existing service location by clicking on the address in the list.
Click Add New Service Location to add a new one.
7. Do one of the following:
If you selected an existing service location and want to make changes the record, click Edit. Make updates as needed and then save your changes.
If you are adding a new service location, fill in the applicable fields, and then click Create Service Location.
8. Click Continue to go to the Assembly section.
9. Do one of the following:
Select an existing assembly by clicking on it in the list.
Click Add New Assembly to add a new one.
10. Do one of the following:
If you selected an existing assembly and want to make changes to it, click Edit. Make updates as needed and then save your changes.
If you are adding a new assembly, click Add New Assembly.
Fill in the applicable fields, and then click Save Assembly.
11. Click Continue to begin performing a test.
12. Fill in test results as you normally would, and then click Complete Test at the bottom of the page.
NOTE: Testing companies that use the Invoicing feature will see a Test Price field and an Invoice Line Items section. Purveyors will not see these options.
On the confirmation page, you can then do any of the following:
Select Click here to test more assemblies at this service location.
Click Start All Over to begin the testing process for another customer.
Click Review Tests link to review this test.
