Testing Backflow Assemblies On a Route

Different ways to test assemblies on a route

Overview

There are two ways you can test assemblies from the Routes page:

NOTE: Water purveyors will also see a Surveys column on this page.


Test Assemblies One Stop Per Page

1. Click Test Now to go to the On Route page, which lists all of the stops on this route. 

2. Click Go to First Stop.

3. On the next On Route page, do one of the following:

  • Click Test to test an existing assembly. Enter test results as you normally would. Repeat this step until you have tested all assemblies at this stop.

NOTE: See our article about testing an assembly to learn more.

  • Click Test New Assembly to add a new assembly and then test it. Add assembly information as you normally would, and then save it. Enter test results as you normally would. Repeat this step to add another new assembly and enter test results.

4. Click Go to next stop

5. Repeat steps 3-4 until you have finished testing assemblies for this route.
6. Click Go To Final Review.

7. On the next Routes page, click Close Route.

NOTE: Mobile devices will show a trashcan icon.

8. Click OK in the popup window to continue.

This route will now be moved to the Completed Routes section on the Routes page.


Test Assemblies From the Route Overview

1. Click Show Route to go to the Route Overview page, which shows all of the stops on this route on one page. 

2. On the Route page, scroll down to the first stop at which you want to start testing.

3. Do one of the following: 

  • Click Test Assembly to test an existing backflow assembly. Enter test results as you normally would. Repeat this step until you have tested all assemblies on this route.

NOTE: Mobile devices will show a trashcan icon.

  • Click Test New Assembly to add a new backflow assembly and then test it. Add assembly information as you normally would, and then save. Enter test results as you normally would. Repeat this step to add another new assembly and enter test results.

4. Scroll to the next stop and repeat step 3; do this until you have finished testing the entire route.
5. Click Close Route near the top of the page.

6. Click OK in the popup window to continue. 

This route will now be moved to the Completed Routes section on the Routes page.
