Notification Template Improvements

We recently updated our notification templates to give you more control over the look and feel of printed and email notifications. This includes new font types, improved image processing, and more. For detailed information about all of the different style and formatting options, see our Notification Template Style Options article to learn more.

We have thoroughly tested these changes to ensure they do not affect your existing templates. However, If you do notice minor spacing differences, please let us know via Chat so we can help you fix them.

Updates to Internal and External Tests for Purveyors

Based on your feedback, we created a new page that allow you to see pending tests from external users, and we updated the names of existing Tests pages and related menus so it's easier to identify internal vs. external tests. We also added and updated related Tests sections on the customer page.

New Pending External Tests Page

The new Pending External Tests page allows you to see all tests that have been saved but not completed by users in your submission portal. This page shows the same test information as the Pending Tests page (now called Pending Internal Tests), and allows you to view test details as needed.

You can view this page by selecting Pending External Tests from the Tests navigation menu.

See our article about Pending External Tests to learn more about this new page.

Updated Tests Menu and Page Names

We updated three of the Tests menu names and related page names so it's easier to tell which ones are for internal vs. external tests. The information on the pages hasn't changed - only the name.

New and Updated Tests Sections on the Customer Page

The new information on the Pending External Tests page can also be viewed in the Tests section of individual customer pages as desired.

The Received Tests section name on customer pages has also been changed to Received External Tests, but the information in the section is still the same.

Submission Portal Enhancements

We have made several updates to the submission portal that give purveyors more control over what testers can/cannot do in the portal. We have also added a new option that allows purveyors to display a custom message in the submission portal.

Display a Custom Message in Your Submission Portal

Based on customer suggestions, we have added new fields on the Portal Options page that allow purveyors to create a custom message that will appear on the submission portal. Simply check the Display Tester Portal Message? box, type the custom message in the Tester Portal Message box, and save your changes.

The custom message will appear in a green box on the Dashboard of the submission portal until you uncheck the Display Tester Portal Message? box on the Portal Options page.

See our article about creating a custom message for your portal to learn more.

Allow Submission Portal Users to Add and Replace Assemblies

Purveyors can now enable or disable submission portal users' ability to add and replace assemblies in the portal.

If the Allow Tester Portal Users To Add Assemblies field is enabled on the Portal Options page, external testers can add and replace assemblies on in the portal on a Service Location page, and on the Assembly Overview page. Purveyors can then review any assemblies added or replaced in the portal on the Suggested Changes page in Syncta.

Allow Submission Portal Users to Delete Assemblies

Purveyors can now enable or disable submission portal users' ability to delete assemblies in the portal.

If the Enable Button To Delete Assemblies In The Tester Portal field is enabled on the Portal Options page, external testers can delete assemblies on the Assembly Overview page. Purveyors can then review any assemblies that have been deleted in the portal on the Suggested Changes page in Syncta.

NOTE: See the following articles to learn more.

Ability to Select a Testing Frequency for Assemblies in the Submission Portal

Users who can add, edit, or replace assemblies in the submission portal can now select how often an assembly should be tested from the Testing Frequency dropdown list. For example, annually, quarterly, etc. This field is also used to determine when the assembly is due to be tested and appears on the Upcoming Tests page.

If selected, the testing frequency will appear on the Assembly Overview page in the portal, as well as on the purveyor's Upcoming Tests page.

To learn more about adding or replacing assemblies in the submission portal, please refer to articles mentioned above in these Release Notes.

New Report for Customers Without Assemblies

The new Customers With No Backflow Assemblies report allows you to see a list of your customers who do not have assemblies. If you have parent customers, the report also allows you to include/exclude parent customers as desired.

Review Completed Tests Page Loads Faster

When you first open the Review Completed Tests page, you’ll notice that less information appears for each test. Don't worry! All of the information is still there – it’s just hidden. Simply click the arrow next to a test to see all of the details that you’re used to. This small change helps this page load faster and allows you to see key test details at a glance!

See our article about reviewing completed tests to learn more.
